In the Company of Others by Jan Karon

This is the second of Ms. Karon's 'Father Tim' series, and a continuation of her 'Mitford' series.  It has been a while since I have read these books (I was waiting patiently for this one to be available from BookSwap).  I had forgotten how inspiring and uplifting her books are.  A compelling story of a man who has a heart for God. If you are a fan of Christian fiction, or just enjoy a good human interest story, I highly recommend Ms. Karon's books.

Dead On Her Feet by Christine T. Jorgensen

What a delightful mystery!  I fell in love with Stella the Stargazer immediately.  I look forward to reading other Stella adventures.

Death Without Company by Craig Johnson

This is the second of Craig Johnson's Sheriff Walt Longmire mysteries.  I have not read any other books by Mr. Johnson, but I will certainly put him on my list of authors to read.

Dead By Nightfall by Beverly Barton

Book 3 in the Dead By Trilogy.  Malcolm York is a sadistic monster, guilty of unspeakable crimes. And with his endless wealth, he's funded a series of depraved hunts. The few who survived can never forget. They can only be thankful the terror is over -- until rumors start swirling. Griffin Powell knows the twisted depths of York's madness. He's also sure that York is dead. But then Griff's wife Nicole disappears, and the phone calls begin -- that familiar voice taunting him, promising to destroy everything Griff loves.  Using all the resources of the Powell Agency, Griff searches for Nic, aware that every step propels him further into a madman's web -- because the only way to keep Nic safe is to join one last perverse game in which the winner kills all and the loser is dead by nightfall.

Dead by Morning by Beverly Barton

The second in the Dead By series.  He begins his work just before dawn, wielding a knife with the precision of a surgeon.  Cunning and meticulous, he's always in control.  Mercy is not an option.... — WILL ALWAYS — Maleah Purdue is tough, outspoken, and completely dedicated to her work at the Powell Security Agency.  But her fearless exterior shatters when a madman begins killing her colleagues one by one, mimicking a notorious serial killer already behind bars.  Working alongside top profiler Derek Lawrence, Maleah will do anything to find the murderer, even if it means playing a psychopath's twisted mind games.

Southern Cross by Patricia Cornwell

This is the second in the Andy Brazil series.  Judy Hammer has accepted the challenge of Richmond, Virginia's police department to try and reverse the escalating crime statistics in the city. She brings with her Deputy Chief Virginia West and Andy Brazil, now a full-time police officer. — They find a lot of things they are all too familiar with - teenage gangs, a rash of robberies at cash dispensers, street corner drug-dealing, racial tensions, too many people with too many guns and a cardiac inducing lack of parking spaces. They also meet resentment from the established police force and over-high expectations from the city's institutions.

True Evil by Greg Iles

A great book.  Mr. Iles brought up some very interesting ideas about medical research, past and present.
I love a thriller that makes you think and shiver.
